LOL – I tried to create at topic titled “AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH” and Discourse wouldn’t let me.
“An error occurred: Title seems unclear, most of the words contain the same letters over and over?”
Maybe I’ll have something more constructive to say soon, but for now I’m just furious.

anyone else feels insulted by this : D ?
Hah! I dunno, "basic" has almost wrapped back around to a complement in some of my circles.
I wonder if I can turn that off, though. I'm sure you're not alone.
yep, you can turn it off or customize it.
how
Here’s how you can manage or disable a specific badge:
- Navigate to the Admin Panel of your site.
- Go to the Badges section.
- Find the specific badge you wish to disable from the list of available badges.
- Edit the badge and disable it, or customize its properties (e.g., visibility, granting methods).
To disable badges altogether:
- Go to your Discourse admin settings.
- Search for the
enable_badges
setting.
- Uncheck or toggle this setting to
off
.
This will deactivate the badge system across your site.
